Dr. Corina Grey

Dr Corina Grey is a public health physician and epidemiologist. She is currently the New Zealand Director of Public Health, a key statutory role that provides national leadership and advice on public health matters. Corina has more than 20 years’ experience in various roles across the health system and public sector, including most recently as Deputy Secretary of Policy and Insights at the Ministry for Pacific Peoples. She has published extensively in the areas of cardiovascular epidemiology, health equity and Pacific health, and from 2020-2023 was co-principal investigator of Manawataki Fatu Fatu, a research programme focused on equity in heart health for Māori and Pacific peoples. Corina authored a chapter on Pacific health data in the first Pacific health textbook, published earlier this year, and is passionate about making data accessible and meaningful to improve population health.
