Professor Marion Saville
Executive Director, The Australian Centre for the Prevention of Cervical Cancer
Professor Marion Saville AM is an anatomical pathologist and cytopathologist, and the Executive Director of the Australian Centre for the Prevention of Cervical Cancer, a role she has held since 2000. A recognised leader in cervical cancer prevention, she has served on cervical screening advisory committees in Australia, New Zealand and Ontario, and currently chairs the review of Australia’s National Cervical Screening Program guidelines. Her career spans senior cytology roles across Australia and New Zealand, supported by specialist cytopathology training and HPV research fellowships in the United States. Professor Saville was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2020 for her significant contributions to women’s health.
